<p>Adding punches to your stepping and kicking will help with coordination and timing but learn to kick correctly first.<span id="more-5431"></span>

Learn to punch of your lead hand, after kicking and without pulling it back first &#8211; the rear hand should land in time with the rear leg landing or shuffling up. You arms should recoil naturally and stay relaxed after striking, ready to perform further actions. Avoid and head and arm balancing movements that will telegraph your intent; this is also a sign of poor bodily alignment. Once you are confidently kicking at a low level, you can begin to raise the height of your kicks. Having said that, Wing Chun kicks should always be low in practice.
